현재 조형디자인협회 명예이사장, 한국미술협회 자문위원, 신철기문화운동(NIA)준비위원장으로 활동 중이며, 파주 두포리에서 작품창작에 전념하고 있다.

NEO COSMOS EXHIBITION III

The artist, after graduating from Hongik University’s College of Fine Arts and the its Graduate school, has held seven 

solo exhibitions including 90’ Generation & Annihilation (World Trade Center Hyundai Museum, Seoul), 95’ Chaos & Order 

(Gallery Gasan, Seoul), 98’ Human & Nature (Gallery Wooduk, Seoul), and 16' Life Sculpture Exhibition 

(Neo Cosmos, Seoul Arts Center Hangaram Art Museum), 22’NeoCosmos I,II, He participated in more than 300 domestic 

and overseas invitation exhibitions including the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Invitation Exhibition, 

Land of Morning Calm (Elliott Smith Contemporary Art, U.S.A), and the LA Invitation Exhibition (LA Scope Museum, U.S.A) 

and produced and installed more than 10 works including  environmental sculptures in Bank of Korea Daegu Branch 

(Good Morning) and Cheongju Arts Center and opening commemorative sculpture in Miryang City Museum, 

Hampyeong Butterfly•Insect EXPO Memorial Sculpture(dream, love). 

He published 12 papers, in addition to 「2016 New Iron Cultural Creation Hanmadang Promotion Plan Presentation 

(National Assembly Forum)」, 「2012 A Study on Production and Installation of Environmental Sculptures for

Outdoor Spaces in Common Complexes (The Korea Society of Craft, Vol. 15 Issue 3)」, 「2006 A Study on Production 

of Environment-friendly Sculptures made with Iron (The Korea Society of Craft, Vol. 9 Issue 2)」. He served jury, steering

committee, and promotion chair at the Korea Craft Exhibition, Cheongju Craft Biennale, and Seoul Craft Exhibition and  

President of Korea Association of Art& Design, Professor of Applied Art Department at Hannam University College of 

Liberal Arts and of  Hongik University College of Art and Dean of Hongik University Graduate School of Industrial Art.

He is working currently as honorary chairman of the Korea Association of Art& Design, advisory member of the Korean 

Fine Arts Association, and chairman of the New Iron Culture Movement Promotion Committee, and is devoted to creating 

works in Dupori, Paju.
